The View

The view from the the tower was great and all

But I never got to explore it 

But, when I did explore it 

I never got within hearing distance of happiness

One day I broke out of that dreadful tower 

I met you 

We ran away together 

But I fell in love with you,

Hoping I would get my once upon a time

With you

I planning on surprising you with a present

But you were with another girl

I escaped crying 

I got back into the tower 

And I saw you with her and your kids

I found out you never loved me 

"I just loved the view." 

You told me

But i loved you
And you never remembered me
